Mamma Mia

I saw the hilarious Mamma Mia on Wednesday.  And already I know what I’d like for Christmas: the DVD!

I hadn’t had a night of such cheesy, escapist fun for a long time.  The little cinema in Sutton Coldfield was heaving and the experience really more closely resembled being at a show than the pictures, with everyone clapping and singing along.

The entire cast looked as though they had an absolute ball filming it.  Julie Walters is wonderful, as always, and Pierce Brosnan’s singing is so bad it’s fabulous.
