8 out of 10 cat owners…

…who read Chapter 5 of Majella Bracebridge (here: https://leighmathers.wordpress.com/category/novels/majella-bracebridge/chapter-5-majella-bracebridge/) will realise I know nothing about auditioning cats for TV commercials. I suppose the process is not exactly common knowledge.

I was writing well “out of my comfort zone,” as they say on X Factor. I had enormous fun with making Tesco the abandoned moggie a star of the fictitious world of 1980s advertising. I was inspired by well-known cats such as Arthur, who famously dipped his white paw into a cat food tin, and Tom, who starred in the more recent Bacardi Breezer ads.

Anyone who does have experience in the world of cat auditions and filming can feel free to get in touch to aid my research if they wish…!!
